I’d consider “A fiasco in Turin” as a triumph of caos and misunderstandings, caused by a number of corrupted politicians, greedy officers and both faulty and incompetent men, lead by doubt and fear. The reader can’t expect anyone to be the victim or innocent, or at least that is how de Mazia proposes and presents the characters in the first pages of the book.
The novel is very intriguing and well-written, and the author manages to achieve a constant feel of suspence and uncertainty throughout the whole story, until the very end.
I’d gladly recommend it to any book lover.

I very much enjoyed reading this book: it is entertaining and the characters and plot blend seamlessly. I would recommend it to a friend!
Questo è un libro che ho letto molto volentieri, è divertente e la trama e i personaggi si fondono magistralmente. Lo consiglio vivamente, anche a chi ha paura dell’inglese – è scritto molto bene, in un linguaggio comprensibile a tutti!
