CIVIC EDUCATION _ epub

Civic Education for Italian and European Citizenship is designed to address the unique characteristics of this subject, which integrates knowledge from various disciplines to foster informed, active, and responsible citizens. One of the key aims of Civic Education is to equip students with the tools they need to engage meaningfully in social, economic, and political life in the modern world. It is an interdisciplinary approach that brings together diverse subjects, with teachers collaborating across their areas of expertise to explore specific aspects of citizenship.

To make this collaborative learning approach effective, it is essential to establish a solid foundation. This book provides that foundation, aligned with both European Union guidelines and Italy’s national educational standards.

The activities included in this book are designed to engage students, encouraging them to think critically, express personal viewpoints, and engage in debates, discussions, and role-playing exercises. These activities help students not only understand abstract concepts and principles but also witness them in real-world situations through case studies. Through open-ended questions and collaborative dialogue, they will deepen their understanding and refine their ability to think independently and responsibly.
